I am very responsible and serious to my work. It primarily aims at the high result, quality and achievement of the goals. I always objectively assess the danger as much as possible. I am a fast learner. It is easy for me to master the new literature, programs and equipment. I am good at computers.
I was born in a small town on the Crimean Peninsula. When a child I moved with the parents to Odessa where I lived for 7 years. After that, I moved to Kiev.
I had 9 grades in Kiev secondary school with a high level of studying English. After graduating the school, I entered the Kiev College of Construction, Architecture and Design to the Faculty of Architecture. Having successfully graduated a four-year college course, I entered the Kiev National University of Technology and Design to the faculty of the graphic design, where I continue studying by correspondence now.
While studying I concluded that only the work loved by you could be done well and qualitatively. My father is a former navigator. He is the person who inspired me to choose the profession related to the sea.
Therefore, I decided to apply for the courses for sailors in "Mariupol marine training center for seafarers."
The training was quick and interesting because I had a great desire to explore the maritime profession and to gain new knowledge and experience.
The specialized courses lasted 6 months. In addition to the knowledges I acquired in the marine center, I studied much at home with the help of my father. The studying was very fast and exciting. I discovered many new things during the courses. Six months of studying passed unnoticed. I got a huge amount of experience and knowledges, which I was able to successfully apply to work on the vessel.
The vessel where I was having a practice called “The Kapitan Merkulov”. It was quite a new vessel built in 2012. It was a special vessel because of being built by request of the Mariupol commercial port.
The tug was 30 meters long and 11 meters wide.
Deadweight 139 t. / Draught 4 m. The crew consisted of 9 people.
There were two main modern Caterpillar engines with total output 5070 bhp.
On arrival at the vessel, the senior assistant of the captain spent the primary briefing taken by each new crewmember. During the briefing, I was informed with the general locations of the ship, the ship’s security alerts, the routes and the meeting points in case of the emergency. I found out the location and the rules how to use the individual and collective life-saving appliances.
In addition, I found out the location and the use of the equipment including the which is responsible for the vessel’s safety.
I got to know the location and the usage of means of combating survivability of the ship including fire-fighting equipment and systems. I got acquainted with the ship's equipment which I must know how to use as a sailor. I have successfully taken advantage of the knowledge acquired during the exercise for action in cases of Emergency Situations.
During the practice, I was assisted with the crew in mastering the specialty and getting the new skills. Subsequently, it gave me the opportunity to thoroughly examine all the details of the work.
As a sailor-intern I fulfilled the functions of the running and navigational watch under the leadership of the captain. I took part in the mooring and anchor operations. I engaged in weaning the rust and the old paint, in sanding, priming and painting the various elements of the vessel. During the practice, I never missed an opportunity to gain new knowledge and skills. Thanks to that, I could have coped with all the tasks by the end of the practice.
The practice in the sea lasted 2 months and I spent it for my own benefit and for the benefit of the crew.
My main goal is to use the skills and knowledge that I received during the studying in order to achieve productive work on the ship. Thus, I want to benefit the vessel and the company in achieving results.
I will consider your proposals for employment. I will do my best to justify the trust of the company, which will be interested in my candidacy.
You can contact me at any time. I am always happy to answer your questions.
